NO BAKE Keto Dessert Recipes to Make with Your Kids at Home
A lot of people think that when you’re on a Keto diet or low-carb diet, desserts are usually off limits – but they don’t have to be! Especially if you have a growing child at home who’s constantly craving for sweets! This is a great way to start teaching your kids to cook healthy and delicious desserts in the kitchen.
Here are some few mouthwatering but guilt-free dessert recipes to try:
Chocolate Mug Cake
It’s a flourless cake so it’s also good for anyone who’s on a gluten-free diet as well. Chocolate mug cake is so simple to make. With only sixingredients, you can make this super yummy cake. The ingredients are 1 egg, collagen powder, cocoa powder, heavy whipping cream, keto sugar substitute (erythritol sweetener or monk fruit), and butter. You just have to mix these all together in a mug and put it in the microwave. It’s that easy!
Low Carb Brownies (No egg)
Another super simple keto dessert recipe is this low carb brownies. Just like the chocolate mug cake, you just have to mix all the ingredients all together then put it on the microwave. The difference with this one is it uses no egg! The ingredients are cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, butter, keto sugar substitute (erythritol sweetener or monk fruit), milk of choice, and chocolate chips (optional, but highly recommended!).
Just like the chocolate mug cake, you pretty much just have to mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Dry ingredients first. And on a separate bowl, mix the butter and milk of choice until combined. Then combine the dry and wet ingredients. Fold the chocolate chips with a spoon if you’re adding them on the mix. Finally, put it on the microwave for a minute until brownie is done.
Chocolate Peppermint Cookie Bars
This one’s my kid’s favorite. I still and will never understand the craze over mixing chocolate and mint together, but my daughter loves it so much that we probably make this at home at least once a week! These keto bars is a great way to satisfy your cravings, if you’re like my daughter who likes mixing mint with chocolate. These chewy bars also promote to support better immune function. The main ingredients for the bar are 3 cups shredded coconut, 2 tablespoons keto sugar substitute (erythritol sweetener or monk fruit), 6 tablespoons Collagen Protein, 2 tablespoons Grass-Fed Ghee, 4-6 drops food grade peppermint essential oil, 3 teaspoons vanilla extract, 2 teaspoons organic chlorella powder, and a pinch of salt. For the chocolate drizzle, the ingredients are 2 tablespoons cacao powder, 3 tablespoons ghee or coconut oil (melted), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract,1 tablespoon keto sugar substitute (erythritol sweetener or monk fruit), or 15 drops liquid stevia.
Firstly, you have to prepare the cookie bars. On a blender, mix the shredded coconut and the remaining cookie bar ingredients except the collagen. Mix the collagen on lowest speed. Then scoop out the ingredients into a pan with a parchment. Press it down with a spoon and then freeze for 40 to 60 minutes until they’re firm enough to slice. While waiting for the cookie bars to set, prepare the chocolate drizzle by mixing all the drizzle ingredients in a bowl until well incorporated. Once bars are ready, cut them into squares and drizzle them with the chocolate drizzle mixture. Then put it back in the freezer for another 5 minutes.
